Integrations

These packages help to integrate OVOW into solutions such as Network Node Manager on HP-UX or Solaris.

ZIP Archive Name Description
SNVPIntegrations Updates to snXML2MOF and OVSDSYNC (this package is the latest version of both - previous downloads are left here for historical reasons, but are no longer updated).  After installation, documentation is a word document and a powerpoint slideshow in the installation directory for the utilities.
OVOWLoadHosts Tool to bulk load hosts into OVOW using either an interactive console mode or a batch hosts file mode.  Nodes are created in OVOW as SNMP nodes.  We also included an NNMDumpNodes.pl file that will dump nodes (just nodes) from NNM into a hosts file format suitable for use with OVOWLoadHosts.   NNMDumpNodes runs with Perl 5.6 or higher on any supported NNM platform.
OVOWXmlMessageWriter This package contains the OVOWXmlMessageWriter application to write OV_Message objects out as XML files for consumption by external systems such as ConnectIT/Service Center.
OVSDIncidentForwarder.zip

This package contains a MSI installer for the OvSdIncidentForwarder service.  This service replaces the use of SD_Event and WMI Policies, and provides double-commit, multi-threaded and prioritized handling of incidents and incident updates from OVOW into OVSD using Microsoft Message Queuing.   The word document details the architecture, configuration and usage.   After install and configuration, don't forget to START THE SERVICE (net start OvSdIncidentForwarder)!

NNMUnix.zip This package contains the policies and instructions to connect Network Node Manager running on a UNIX node to OVOW.  As you know, the out-of-box NNM "Adapter" only works with NNM on Windows.  This package is a lightweight adapter for NNM on Unix (no UI integration/tools launch is not provided) - however, messages such as node up/down, if up/down, segment up/down all are intercepted and forwarded to OVOW  This is all most folks want anyway, so we're making this generally available.   Note, if you want to see traps for non-system nodes appear in OVOW, you can use the "CreateSNMP" application in the Node Tools area to create aliases to SNMP objects.
snXML2MOF.zip Convert Service Navigator XML configurations to OVOW MOF Service MAPs in one easy utility.  See the snXML2MOF.doc for usage.
